Bangladesh and Dhaka City

Dhaka is the capital of Bangladesh. It is one of the crowded and populated city in the world. More than one million people live here. It is also called the city of Mosque. It is also known the capital of rickshaw. It was built in 17th century. Now people around the world know Dhaka is one of the fastest growing city in the world

Dhaka was built in during the mughal emperor Jahangir. Its located on the bank of Buriganga. It is 9th largest city in the world. There are many important things to see inside Dhaka. National parliament building, Museum, Zoo, Ramna Park, Lalbag fort, are the major attractions for tourist in Dhaka.

Dhaka was being built nicely during the partition of Bengal and when it was capital of East Bengal and Asam. But due to opposition attitude of Hindu religious group from India the development process of the city was stopped by British in 1911 after ending the partition of Bengal.

In 1947 when British power was ended, the the city Dhaka was led by Pakistani Military power. But due to Pakistani wrong policy for language and economic activity the people of Dhaka and Bangladesh was angry on the Pakistani ruler.

Gradually the angry attitude were growing among the people's of Bangladesh. That's why in 1952 Salam barkat, Rafik were killed by Pakistani Janta in a possession in front of Dhaka Medical college. From then Pakistani ruler was considered as enemy of the country.

At last the country started independence war against Pakistani military power in 1971. After nine months war and losing more than three million people the country gained its Independence in 16 December of 1971 from Pakistan.
