Dhaka Dwellers are Not Happy on Present Government

Dhaka is a mega city. Like other big cities a large number of people live here. To keep pace with population-increasing not enough facilities have been built up in this city. So ultimately people have been facing various problems including following in this city.

Cleanliness
is the major problem in Dhaka. Public health is in great risk due to unhealthy environment everywhere. After getting out from home it is seen everywhere there are flying sand, dust, and scattered garbage nearby footpath and road. Due to negligence of city corporation this is happening continuously.

Lac of Porper Plan and Action are the major problems to present nice Dhaka.  Dhaka dwellers expected that they will get new and clean Dhaka from the present government. But within last two years people have seen nothing change of Dhaka. People of Dhaka are astonish to see government's negligence and less step to build up clean Dhaka.

Air-pollution is the major problem in this dry season of Dhaka. To remove this problem government should throw water in the street. Sweeper should sweep the streets timely. But nothing is noticeable on the road.

Dust is the major cause of air pollution. Everywhere inside of Dhaka including residential area of uttara, Gulshan, Dhanmondi this scene are noticeable. After passing a car passerby feel this problem seriously. So, people's health are badly affected by this dust.

Garbage boxes are set with scatter here and there on the road. There is no cover of dustbin in the city. So, though people are keeping their garbage in the box bad smell and germs are spreading nearby the dustbin area for open garbage box.

Building materials
like sand, rod and cement are kept on the road or in the footpath. People cannot walk peacefully on the footpath. Due to government's strict administration these are happening every parts of Dhaka.

Illegal footpath business is another old point of public dissatisfaction on Government. To keep pace with population growth footpath has not been built up and illegal shops on the footpath has made passerby too much fade up.

Vehicle's Smoke is another great concern of public health. Importation of used vehicle from abroad and non stop running of those vehicle after expiring last date of all of those automobiles.

Broken Street is seen everywhere of Dhaka. There are many roads and streets where people cannot walk due to hole and broken condition. For long time those roads are not repaired or defective repaired by dishonest contractors.

Traffic Jam
is the major concern among others to dhaka dwellers. Due to illegal parking, breviary dealings of traffic police with truck and bus driver, unplanned road cutting, scattered building materials, Ricksha, lac of traffic light are the major causes of traffic jam in the city. People life are stable here due to traffic jam.

Poor Transportation is the major concern of the city. People are fad-up to see poor transportation system. Lac of enough bus, taxi, cng, auto-ricksha, subway, under way train  are causing of bothering of public dissatisfaction in this sector.

As a city dwellers we want proper action from the Government. We want neat and clean Dhaka for our exixtence in the earth. We want healty life in this city. Government's proper plan, pragmatic decision, proper supervising system can present a beautiful capital city. At the same time all of us should co-operate the government by respecting new laws for getting nice and new Dhaka.Technorati Tags: , , , , , ,

Public Health is in Great Risk

Zatrabari, Saidabad and Gulistan Flyover's construction work is going on. We appreciate government's decision to start this essential traffic jam removal bridge from the southern part of the city. At the same time we criticize government's respecting group, ministry of health, the contractors and the fly over maker for not caring about public health in this area.

Now it is dry season in Bangladesh. So almost all roads in Dhaka city is covered with sand and dust. Specially in flyover building area, due to over cutting roads and footpath the dust has been spreading all over the area. So, it is seen always the dust storm in the zatrabari and saidabad area. People in this area are in great danger from various diseases including lung cancer, heart diseases, asthma or other breathing a and dust related diseases.

The tender winer who have been working for flyover are not thinking this issue. At the same time government's respecting department are also not thinking to this vital health related issue which can be reduced by a simple job that is water throwing. To do this they can use water throwing car regularly and timely. So, dust will not fly and public health will not be so harmful.

At the same time pople's life in this area are disturbed by traffic jam. So, more traffic police and surgeon and traffic inspector should be employed in this area to reduce traffic jam. People of southern cities like Chittagong, Comilla, Noakhali and nearby dhaka dwellers are wasting a long time in this area.

For a long time at the end of Janapath more highway bus stop has been built up. Traffic police and Government has made a artificial traffic jam in Saidabad due to illegal parking on the street. At least at flyover making time the illegal high way parking place should be removed immediately from the Janapath moor. In this respect we are expecting government's pragmatic interference.

At the same time we will expect from the authority to complete the flyover making job withing the period, without any delay or negligence. Because this area is very crowded and everyday millions of people have to pass this important crossing moor. People will enjoy the long awaited aspiration of remobal of traffic jam from this largest flyover of Zatrabari and Saidabad area.

Dhaka is Paralyzied

For a long time Dhaka dwellers have been facing various problems including traffic jam. Traffic jam has paralized the normal life of Dhaka. Almost all of the areas of Dhaka has been badly affected by traffic jam. There are many causes of traffic jam including, traffic police neglegencies, unplanned street cutting, Illegal parking, Illegal footpath business, failing to removal of rickshaw from the city, people's awareness, Government's negligence to build sub-way, or trum car, monorail, or LRT in the city area.

in the morning and afternoon the traffic jam has exceeded the people's patient. People have to wait 2-3 hours to pass 3o minutes distance from here to there. So, people's life are paralyzied by traffic jam in the mega city of Dhaka.

The lack of public buses, cng, Taxi are another causes of public tension to arrive their job area. During the BNP goventmet's period a lot of public bus including volvo bus was seen in the road. But now all are away from the city. Now it is our question where are those expensive bus?

In BNP period there were so many Air conditioned bus like metro bus from Uttara and Motijheel. Now no ac bus are seen on the road. People's income and life status has been developed but to keep pace with citizen's life not enough bus and taxi are running in the street. It is our great frustration to the government.

After coming in power the government of Awamileage has done nothing in two years. Nothing is seen on the street of dhaka. People are watching everything carefully. People do not forget government's activities.

In BNP period there were a lot of CNG which were used substitute of rickshaw. Now this type of light cng has been going out from the street. No cng wants to go by meter. So, fair is very high. People have to pay four to five times higher fare to ride on cng. It is our question why it is happening. CNG should be more cheaper and enough quantity on the street for comfortable jouney for middle class people. Awamileague Goverment should think this carefully.

Sheikh Hasina has declared on the eve of completion of two years to import more than 300 buses. We do not want see the wasting of money in government's transportation sector. Better Government can make bus at Atlanta at chittagong to reduce cost of importing bus from abroad. It can save our money and it will create jobs in Bangladesh. Better govt should encourage private sector to make automobile industry in the country.

Government should take necessary action to stop used car and bus from abroad. Importation of vehicle is an illegal thinking and slaughtering the people. Used car and buses are polluting dhaka's weather which is a number one cause of Asthama, high blodd pressure, Lung cancer, heart diseases it the city. We want new car, bus for low cost which is possible by locally manufactured vehicle.

So, why govt has not been taking this important issue to implement. We do not want foreign goods. We want our own vehicle which will be made in the country. It will remove unemployment problem, it will make vehicle cheaper. It will keep our environment neat and clean. Our health related problems will be removed from the country.

Within last forty years no government has thought or implement such long term solution of automobile industry. But no more. We want our own made vehicle. We have to take lesson from India. We have to build automobile industry.

We have lot of money in the bank to build vehicle industry. Just we need proper thinking, direction, plan and patriotism. We hope present govt will think about this plan seriously. They will encourage private sector to build automobile industry. At the same time they will discourage and make bound to import second hand car and bus from abroad.
