Yesterday, I went to professor Mr Muzubul Hoque who is retired from Dhaka Medical College Hospital. I associated with my younger brother to consult with him. He seats at 4th floor of consulting centre 1 at Dhanmondi Branch. He is Skin and Sexual diseases professor. His attitude towards patients is very bad.
Doctor's behavior is not present to him. He does not answer to the patients properly. I asked to him few questions but he did not answer. He was seemed inefficient or abnormal to his duty. He is not doing professional responsibility to the patients.
Doctors are the respectable job and people like them but this kind attitude really shock us. He is taking the highest fee but providing very poor professional services to the patients. Who will take care it?
I asked one of the management staffs to the popular consultancy department but he said Popular Management has no control over the doctors fee.
Popular is one of the well known private hospital and consulting centre in Dhaka but there is no fixed fee for doctors. It should be a unique rule about fee for the professors according to their seniority or designation. But in Popular it is absent there.
Now come to the health ministry. Does this ministry has any control over the doctor's fee in private hospital?
Patients want a unique rule about doctor's fee, otherwise they will be cheated by the doctors what is happening in Popular Hospital.
I went many hospitals in Dhaka but no doctors take 1500 taka fee from the patients but why doctors specially Mr Muzubul Houqe is taking fee 1500 Taka from the patients? I am looking for answer of this question. I hope top management of Popular Hospital as well as respecting government agency will answer of this question.
Doctors bad behavior is another problem. Hospital management should introduce the common behavioral guidelines for the doctors. Though doctors learn it from their MBBS degree but sometimes they forget it. In this respect hospital authority should teach them motivate them to holding their business otherwise they will lose patients. They will loose the customer which is the major ingredient for their business.
Anybody may be astonished to see the services from the doctor. The doctor is taking 1500 taka fee but he does not get up from the chair. He even does to measure the pulse of the patients and does not take reading of pressure and weight.
Popular Hospital should take feedbak from the patients. But there is no system about patients feedbak collection. It really shocks the Dhaka dwellers. Dhaka dwellers want Popular Hospital will establishes a fee range for the doctors. They should care about doctors behavior to the patients.
